Winter 09 Sportsmanship Scores

Below are the final Sportsmanship Scores for Thursday Nights. Total possible was 60 points. To figure out the addition to your team�s point total, we divided your score by 20. (60 pts = 3.0, which is the max. 60/20 = 3). This score is added to your team�s point total BEFORE any tie-breakers are taken into consideration.

Note that the spread between the highest and lowest scores was 13 points. Since scores are divided by 20, this means that sportsmanship scores represented a less than 1-point difference between teams. They broke would-be ties, but did not allow any team that won or tied fewer games to jump a team ranked ahead of them.

The final standings had D-Cons listed as #2 and RM listed as #3 in Ankeny. The slot that the Montalballs were put in was listed on the empty bracket as Ankeny 2. I thought BJ noted that nobody moved in rankings due to sportsmanship so I am just wondering what the dealy-O is. We had the same points, but I think they were up a few games in the differential. Any insight there? No complaints, just wondering.

Interesting first round matchups

The first one that struck me was HFB vs. Slappers in a rematch of the tie game featuring the Pringle on Pringle death-match. I’m guessing that there won’t be any such death-matches this time around.

Another matchup is Kill Screen vs. Momma Said. Is it revenge time for Momma Said or will Kill Screen show its D ranking was a mistake?

Now that we’ve got sportsmanship scores, I’ve incorporated those into my weighted rankings for comparison. Sportsmanship points earned are multiplied by 3 and added to the weighted points, which I outlined in my previous rankings thread.
